'Hi all!!!!!

Firstly I would like to introduce myself, I’m Mica mentioned in Claire’s previous post and I am over the moon to say I will be interning with Disco Fashion Art throughout the summer!!

This is my first ever blog post so as you can imagine I am super nervous but super excited!!

So a bit about me… I am a student at the University of Central Lancashire but I am Liverpool born.  I am currently completing and also thoroughly loving my second year of a full time Fashion Promotion with Styling BA (Hons) course.  I am also an aspiring stylist and hope to make this my full time career when I leave University but most of all and most importantly I LOVE FASHION!
I have an eclectic fashion sense and therefore I have many favourite designers; Chanel is an all-time favourite and always will be, the house produce the most amazing catwalk shows and fantastical clothes!  I also love Yohji Yamomoto and his deliberate over use of black clothes. I mean everyone loves black clothes, but he manages to put them together in a unique way that makes them anything but morbid. I also love his use of layering, he manages to put garments together in a unique way like only he could. I also love Givenchy.  Ricardo Tisci’s collections are very chic with an urban, modern yet elegant twist. One last favourite is Balmain. I love, love, love all of  Olivier Rousteing’s collections they never fail to amaze and capture me, from the shape to the silhouettes to the patterns there’s nothing I don’t love about them. The list could go on and on to be fair!
So that’s me! For now!
I am really excited to be joining the blog and posting throughout Spring/ Summer and I really hope you all enjoy my contribution!!!'
Speak to you all soon
Mica xx

Well dolls and dudes I'm back after a very long and regenerating Easter break.  Sorry for the lack of posts but as this sartorial report is my full time passion but "second job" I have to give myself a hiatus now and again so I stay sane!

I am back now though so expect full resumption of my regular musings throughout the rest of the spring summer season.

There have been loads of goings on in the fabulous, fashion world, both in our fair city and the rest of the globe over the past few weeks and I am looking forward to bringing you all the details over the next days... including the exciting details about the newest member of our team... our summer intern Mica!

But firstly I will tell you about a little trip I went on last week.

I was invited down to the new outfit store in Speke retail park last Thursday evening with a plethora of my fellow North West fashion blogger's to have a first peek at the new Spring Summer collections from the all of the Arcadia Groups popular high street retailers and all under one roof.

For those of you not familiar with the retailer, Outfit is a single department store housing all of Mr Phillip Green's highstreet brands all under one roof including Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge and Wallis.  The store also accomodates a wide range of mens brands but for my visit I was mostly concerned with the ladies fashion... sorry chaps but a gal has to concentrate while she shops.

I was met by the fabulous marketing manager for Arcadia Charlotte and the lovely area manager Ruth Todd who gave me £100 to spend on my favourite pieces!  Lets just say I got straight down to work!

I was most certainly spoiled for choice!

Here are a few of my current favourites from the store!

There is something about a Topshop shoe wall that makes me swoon!

If you purchase this fabulous matching leather two piece or any other similar crop top and midi skirt ensemble try styling it with a white shirt worn underneath, it looks very this season and gives plight to all of those of us with tummy shyness!

Evans Daisy and Eve Jewellery is certainly one to watch for current trend inspired jewels.

I am a big fan of Dorothy Perkins jeans, they are a great fit and really good quality for money.  With every trend and variation catered for they are my go to place for denim.

I ended up coming away with a primary green cami and print peg pants from Dorothy Perkins, perfect for moving into spring.  The trousers have a jungle print and I cant wait to rock them with flats and heels.

I also purchased the new Topshop Espadrilles in Black Suede and Leather.  They are perfect spring footwear and remind me very much of Chanel's Espadrilles from spring summer 2013.

Oh and finally a gorgeous neon pouchette from Topshop that I will no doubt use to death in the next couple of months, I love it! Its super cute! And the amazing matte nail varnish from Topshop, in my new favourite summer nail color Tabasco Trouble!  It certainly was a fab afternoon shopping.  I highly recommend you take yourselves down there.

Thats all for now but I shall be back tomorrow with more exciting news!

I hope your all ready for the glorious spring summer we have lying ahead.  Have a fabulous day!
