Warehouse Trend Studio - Liverpool! ...Ideas for Aintree!

Last week I was invited to attend the Warehouse Trend Studio - Liverpool in Camp and Furnace. It was publicised as a night of fun and fashion and it certainly was. The venue was decorated in a 'fahsion gypsy' theme with a stall from Illamasqua and a display of this seasons Warehouse dresses complete with cute caravan changing rooms.  The main stage was streaming fashion videos made by Warehouse, featuring their latest collections for Spring Summer 2013 called Postcards from Shoredith (more can be seen on Warehouses website - they're worth a look).

There was a predominantly young fashion crowd who were all provided with an amazing goodie bag, free flowing champagne and delicious canapes from the Camp and Furnace kitchen.  It was an ideal night to showcase outfits, perfect for the races.

There was also a talk from a Warehouse Designer / Researcher - Reem Kary who was fresh from the Autumn Winter shows in Milan and Paris.  Reem discussed trends for Spring Summer 2013 inspired by last years shows and available in Warehouse now.  These included Arizona (like bohos more tailored older sister), Layer Cake (60's Mod, Bug Eye glasses, lace summer dresses with shoes and socks and pretty collars inspired by Valentino and Simone Rocha), Rock Muse (think grunge meets graphics, to be worn with bed head hair, a total Hippy Luxe aesthetic, inspired by Isabel Marant and Givenchy), Monochromatic (just black and White, blocks and mixed patterns, like at Louis Vuitton), Totem (coloured pints, mix match patterns - see Matthew Williamson and BCBG)and Iconica (soft and sculpture, androgynous - see Celine and Victoria Beckham).

Then there was a small presentation of looks from the shops current collection.  All very pretty and some ideal outfits for the races, nothing too garish, just simple, elegant fashion.

DiscoFashionArt have complied some suggestions for Aintree for the ladies from pieces available now on www.warehouse.co.uk. I especially like the black dungaree / play suit, it would look fabulous over a well tailored white shirt, well that's if we lived in a country blessed with sunshine! I wish!
