Hot Child in the City

Well Thursday certainly was a hot night in the city.  The legendary Browns bar and brasserie had their grand opening in Liverpool One (whilst simultaneously celebrating 40 years in their London bar)and the liverpool fashionistas certainly were out in force.

Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter and Jennifer Metcalfe looked stunning.  Jorgie wore a black cut out stretch maxi dress, only £50 from Lavish Alice.  Jennifer wore black tailored dungarees with a black bandeau underneath, similar to which can be found by River Island on ASOS for £35.00.  Both achieved a fabulous look using high street stores.

Also out on Thursday Night was the city's resident guru of fashion  (she can do no wrong by DiscoFashionArt at the moment)Abbey Clancy.  Abbey looked amazing as per usual, even when casual this girl nails it, in ripped jeans, a pale blue blouse and on trend delicate high sandals, Abbey certainly was a hot child in the city!

Abbey is the new face of designer Hasan Hejazi's new A/W 2013 collection, and frankly its fantastic.  The pictures are amazing, (see below) and prove once again that Abbey is a fashion force to be reckoned with. Specialising in glamorous evening wear, Hasan Hejazi has been featured in publications such as Vogue International, Nylon, Dazed and Confused and Hunger and shot by noted photographers such as Rankin.  His designs mix Luxe Sportswear with vibrant silks, attention to detail and commitment to quality.  His designs  have been worn by Jesse J, Kylie Minogue, Paloma Faith and Marina and the Diamonds.

Saturday night seen the Radio City Live Event in the Echo Arena. A host of new and seasoned music talent arrived to entertain the masses including Jesse J, Professor Green, Stooshe, Neon Jungle and many more.  Jesse's outfit left very little to the imagination, don't get us wrong the girl has got a smoking hot body and why wouldn't you want to show that off but the white netting was reminiscent of the string that goes around a sunday roast joint! However her new season Giuseppe Zanotti trainers were major.  Also looking amazing were new girl band Neon Jungle, they were a refreshing addition to the red carpet, DiscoFashionArt think their style is definitely going to be one to watch.  Last but not least Professor green was rocking his usual attire of jeans and designer t! This one was Givenchy pre fall 2012, I bet you he has a fine selection to choose from!

The Brits 2012 .... who looked fabulous?

Well after watching intently as I always do ... here's who I think looked A OK in the Brits tonight!  Oh and before I go on ... can I just mention .. Noel with Chris Martin... AMAZEBALLS! The Brit collaborations get better every year... and Blur... just Boss!

Lots of the ladies went for Monochrome dresses and ensembles including Jo Whiley and Adele who both proved less is sometimes definitly more and Miss Flack is definitly making the Givenchy-esque shirt, blazer and shorts look her own (she wore the same style of outfit twice this week in LFW, well if it works!)

Both Lana Del Rae and Jesse J rocked it in red.... If i'm not mistaken Jesse was wearing Giles??  I get the feeling Jesse may take a little stick for being so daring but I think she looked amazing and if you can't show a little somethin somethin when your under 25, when can you?  Lana's 50's style gown may have been a little more demure but no less breath taking.

Then we had our own stylish scouser Abbey Clancy looking Fabulous in a classic little 60's number and Florence in what I think is Chanel (I will find out the designers as soon as poss and amend anything I may have gotten wrong... its late!) both in a fabulous shades of blushing pink.

and seen as were talking about well dressed dolls, least we forget the lovely brit gong herself who has had a refreshing makeover from the legendery artist Peter Blake (see Sgnt Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band and Paul Wellers Stanley Road)

I'll finish by saying ... what a great night for British Music ... Loved it as always.

Take out your top knot and throw in your Rollers!

Scouse and more recently Essex girls alike have been taking criticism from the UK's press for their ever growing fondness of a big bouffant for a long time now. (yes Liz Jones of the Daily Mail... I am talking to you!) However I am glad to say that maybe us Scouse chicks may have just been ahead of the curve.
Even though it does annoy me when I see girls walking around Lord Street with a head full of rollers and my good friend and stylist at Voodoo Bold Street Jamie saying once a week, "if I have to do another bouncy blow this week I will hurt someone"... I think big hair has well and truly just come into its own.

Even though this trend has had thousands of endorsments from various celebrities around the globe, the girls up north have been taking stick none the less. Step forward my Idol and fashion saviour Sarah Jessica Parker who whilst attending a gala in New York last week supported one of the biggest bouffants since Amy Childs at the TOWIE series one wrap party!

Maybe now all the big hair (scouse) haters may shut up for a while!
